OK! I actually made a little progress on the jack question today! I even ordered a reconditioned one! If you'd like to get one, Bob at Bob's Chevy Parts is the guy to call. He offers the jack and handle either "as is" or "reconditioned" $60 bucks/$100 bucks. He claims that they used to be stowed under the seat, and they came in a bag that was imitation leather or something similar. He said he's never seen one of the bags thats not been rotten, but they were just loose under the seat! Anyway, his site is
