Did you get your kit from Steele Rubber? I just removed the stock channel on my 55/1st and it had these tabs on it, they help hold the channel into the frame. The Chevy Duty replacement one's I got didn't have them. The Steele site shows them as a seperate item you can order and attach yourself.
