Good to hear it's running cooler, the added fuel could have been just enough to help it, even though it's an idle adjustment. You can also help a hot motor with a timing adjustment, so double check that when you get time.
I was going to suggest adding a couple small heater cores behind your front openings to add extra capacity to the system, you could gain a gallon or two of coolant and extra cooling with not much work.
