Resurfacing a pressure plate won't necessarily fix it if the springs are shot. But those can probably be rebuilt. If you've got the whole thing, offer them that way.
Dan, were you able to find a complete clutch cover assembly (what I usually call a pressure plate)? I may have found one rebuilt clutch kit for the 11-inch clutch, But it seems to have only 6 bolts for the cover.
