| | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,303 Renaissance Man | | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,303 | Get some longer screws and see if they run all the way through into some remaining good threads. If you feel any resistance, stop and remove the long screw and run a tap all the way through.
This has worked for me in the past.
