One advantage to a deflecting beam torque wrench is the fact that it never loses calibration unless it's overstressed to the point of actually bending the beam. Click type and dial or digital indicating wrenches need to have their calibration checked periodically. The torque wrench I used while doing warranty claim investigations got a certified calibration annually at a cost of around $100.00.
