Never mind- - - - - -I found a hydraulic lifter 235 block I didn't realize I had- - - - -and it looks like making a drill guide jig is going to be ridiculously simple! With a little tinkering I should be able to drill any stovebolt engine- - - -216, 235, or 261- - - -to be able to use modern, inexpensive hydraulic lifters that actually work! This idea is going to give me some real incentive to get the big radial drill press I bought some time ago into working condition!
