Hit the wall again... I ended up needing to shim the caps on my engine. Shimmed the first, second and third and the crank spins just fine. I had been fighting this but did make progress until I got to the rear main cap.

The bearing is tight going onto the crank, even with the crank on blocks on the bench. But the crank spins ok in the block with the top rear main bearing in place and the other three torqued.

I did torque the cap on to see what happened and when removed there were only marks on the edges where the bearings meet. Nowhere else.

Thoughts?
