I found this truck in Oklahoma. It has no rust throughs and was supposedly running when parked. I bought the truck and transported it home. There was about 10 gallons of rat's nest in it along with a gallon of sand and dust. After I got it somewhat cleaned out, I found a handful of oil change receipts dated in the eighties in Kansas. So I believe it lived most of it's life as a Kansas farm truck. It has the 216 engine, SM420 4 speed, floor shift, haven't checked the rearend. There is no slop in the shifter, very tight and smooth. The engine has no serial number on it, the space is smooth and flat. The boards in the bed was rotting so someone welded a sheet of 10 ga sheet metal to cover the bed floor. I was surprised by the bench seat; it was covered in a canvas type material with nice firm seat from one side to the other. Smooth and straight like new. The body has some dents on the fenders, one side bed panel and on the edge of the running boards. The left side cowl between the door and hood has a gash someone tried to weld up. Great project truck.
