Looks like it was probably an easy application to get the results you were looking for. If it gave you the results you were going for, more power to ya.
Back in the day when my Grandpa wanted to pretty up the truck, he got the house paint brush out, a gallon of red and had at it. My truck (previously his) currently still sports much of his personally applied paint.
