For a 1954 235 is there an oil restrictor in the small line behind the side cover? I am not sure but i don't remember one when was torn down and reassembled. I engine ran for 30 minutes about 12 years ago while breaking in the cam. everything was oiling well with about 40 psi. The engine has not started since. the oil was drained and marvel mystery oil was added to the cylinders and rockers. turned it over by hand once in a while. I am removing all the chrome and stainless hardware. I will be reinstalling all the original equipment it came with.
