Made a rope seal tamping tool today. Luckily, even though I like pretty, I’ll settle for functional. Hoping the few degrees of cant will help with the curvature of the seal groove. We’ll see tomorrow.

Jerry, I do agree that your solution is the best. If this effort doesn’t work out, I may have to retrieve the 1959 (?) 261 build from a 1954 mold out of it’s corner.

Tronman, sounds like you engine was out of the vehicle when you installed the seal. No doubt that’s best.
