On my drivers door the stop was missing. Ordered a new one from Jim Carter. On my passenger door the original one was there. As you can see the new one came with a cotter pin. My passenger door had the spring on it. The door stop also prevents the door from hitting my mirror, which is on door hinge. On my passenger side the hard rubber piece was facing the inside so I did the same with new one. Works good.
