Mallory (#29216) is in Langdons install guideline.
When I bought my setup from Tom Langdon, which was one of his last, he discouraged me from the round F..d coil and had me stay with the square GM style hei coil, which I mounted on the inner fender near the distributor on rubber isolation mounts.
I have read here on Stovebolt of folks mounting a dummy round coil….
Over the years i have learned to listen when the likes of Tom offers a “suggestion”….….
