I remember the first ones we had, too.I think our first actually ODSS gathering was in Winchester in 2007 ... the Apple Festival, I think. We gathered at the old apple plant. The owner of the property was expecting a big motorcycle turnout that didn't happen and we all ended up being able to pick our own individual port o potties for the weekend smile I think 2008 was our first actual "Homecoming" at the (then) Stovebolt HQ. That event which ran for more than a decade evolved into "Wrenchfest."

Thing to keep in mind -- we learned that it takes a couple of iterations to build the event. We started small and ... well, you all know what the event grew into. The venue this year (Jethro's place) looks truly beautiful and spacious. Lots of potential for growth. Start planning again for next year!

For nostalgia's sake, here's a little trip down memory lane -- ODSS first official "Gabfest" -- Winchester Apple Festival, May 2007.... 2007???? Holy crap ... Look how young we all look ...

And then a couple from the first actual Homecoming. (which built on the participation the year previously at Winchester ... and included inviting the members of the ATHS Baltimore-Washington Chapter)
