Update.::
Linkage disconnected. Problem is in Transmission!
The forward shifter shaft will go into one gear but NOT the other. I made sure the other shifter shaft was in neutral.
Transmission has to come out.
Disconnected the speedometer cable. Now draining the gear oil.
