If you are going onto a t5 forget about “original”, it will only confuse you because a T5 is (likely) different than stock. I’ll send a picture or 2 of the cable/ends but I’m not near my shop/truck for a few days. Yes I believe The Speedo end is sq drive.
You can look up 1982 S10 Speedo cables as a starting point.
