The 1948-51 Shop Manual (which also covers the years 1952-53) provides guidance for doing frame checks and measurements. They are on
Page 2-1 and
Page 2-2, with the measurement points and dimensions in the diagram and chart on the second page.
Need to be sure if using the "plumb bob" measuring method that your floor is level so your measurements aren't thrown off because of high or low spots in the floor.
