Here's my advice: take it if you choose. My 50 was in a total neglict after years of sitting around. I had the body panels and cab less the frame and bed media blasted, and the frame bed and misc were sand blasted. Considering the cost of sand paper, disks etc you'll probablly end up ahead. I saw a rolling chassis w windows removed, guages and carb masked going into the booth. Nice for getting the many layers off.
I do understand your point, Has anyone heard of a hobbiest co-op for supplies? Would all Stovebolters get a better discount?
