One thing to consider when choosing a wheel is "scuff radius". An imaginary line drawn through the king pin (or top and bottom ball joints) and another through the center of the tire tread should intersect at the road surface. If not, the tire is being dragged in an arc across the road instead of pivoting. The less scuff there is, the easier the steering effort will be.
