One more comment on the Radial Arms.
Used properly, like any of these tools, they are fine, but I would guess that at some point they will be replaced by sliding compound miter saws.
As as far as the old saws, I don't think they can be beat by much of anything. I was drooling over some old Powermatic stuff recently. I didn't go after it because it was 3 Phase. Still kicking myself!
