This is going to depend on the taper at the end of the stud. Because most threads are tapered at end it all about full thread count contact. Had same issue with my hub conversion on my 56. Would it hold sure, will torque to spec probably. And it did for some short drives and moving around while working on it. But for safe of my mind I just went out to dormans catalog (they have a good one) and found the same size stud just longer. you can always cut and grind smooth it they are too long for your taste.
If you cannot find the knurl size go up a size and drill you holes slightly larger. Had to do that on a conversion as well.
you can always press in one or two one opposite each other. put your tire on and test it on the bench. that way you are not going all in on a guess
