I have removed those parts on my current '52 build. There are spot welds and rivets that hold them on.
I ended up giving up on trying to repair them, but I had another hood with other bad issues, but the rear brackets were in fair shape and I was able to patch weld the small rust holes.
It was a bit of a chore to get them off without messing up the the hood sheet metal.
