For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2023 Posts: 46 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2023 Posts: 46 | I am replacing the original swedged in steering balls with aftermarket threaded ones from Jim Carter on a 1941 1/2 ton, model AK, for the drag link. My question is how much of a press fit should I have? Iām getting between .004ā - .006ā, depending on the stud and bore variances. Also, what would be the torque on the castle nut? I called the vendor and they had no clue on how to answer. Any help would be appreciated. | | |
