| | | | Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 6,873 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 6,873 | I didn't even realize that the whole bottom part of the tailgate is supposed to be a tube. Yes, it looks like an angle iron or something was welded over the top part of that tube.
The truck spent its life on a farm actually working into the 1980s or 90s. Maybe theyufixed a rusty area or needed the flat surface to mount some attachment or other.
