The red and black? That’s a Milwaukee 12 volt under hood light. I saw someone talk about it in a shop tool thread here and bought one. It’s handier than a shirt pocket because it’s great lighting wherever you may be.

I didn't recognize that the apparatus holding onto the hood was supporting the light itself - duh. Time to get my tri-focal glasses prescription checked - lol!
