With out pictures I am assuming you did the conversion with the power steering outside the frame and not inside in stock box location. I did my 56 3200 the power steering in the stock location(inside rail) with stock drag link.
Also ran disc brakes up front with a hydroboost setup on frame rail. Drives fine if properly aligned. (really bad if not aligned) I also added a front sway bar as well. Drives fine but some bump steer due to it still being a straight axle and you hit a large pot hole. there is more play in the steering wheel than I would like but that I believe is related to the steering box itself and the rag joint and the larger steering wheel all adding up a small amount of play. .
