I wish I could be of more help. I was afraid of bricking my laptop and my son volunteered when he was visiting us in the spring (he lives in Oregon). He had just upgraded his so it was fresh in his mind, but that was over six months ago.
I looked at the video Tiny posted and he made it look easy. He did say if your computer is old, pre intel I7 CPU it won’t work. I don’t know about Athlon CPU’s
