Wow Tommy, I wouldn't have expected egt's that warm. I always put the pyrometer probe just ahead of the turbo on the little 6BT Cummins and 1200F is where I start backing out of the fuel. Obviously you know your rig and it's really dialed in. Reading your exploits makes me want to dig my 261 out of the shop corner and put it to work in the '51. Someday!
