My 1946 Texaco truck that I have owned since 1973 (I was 23) and it later became an integral part of my Texaco service station in St Charles, Illinois. I have moved to Wisconsin with retirement in Tennessee. The photo with the model is from when I was approached by a pro photographer who asked permission to use my truck in a photo-shoot. The model appears to be crank starting the truck...the last year for a Chevy crank start. One photo is in my current garage which resembles a Service Station Museum. Check out my book "Refueling the Past" on Amazon which is about the history of gas stations. I have included a 1928 photo of my gas station that I occupied from 1977-90.
