I'm looking for a crank-up spare tire holder similar to those used on modern trucks, and my wife's 2008 Toyota Highlander. I want to install it on the existing custom made trailer hitch support on my '52 GMC 3/4 ton truck. The mechanism would need to mount on top of existing hardware, so its mounting surface would need to be under the mechanism, not over or to one side.
Anyone know of a vehicle having such a device?
Maybe this drawing would better describe what I need. I've found a few that either mounted hanging from above or the side. I need one that sits on the mounting surface.
'57 GMC 102, Original 347 V8, HydraMatic, 3.08 rear gear, added A/C, disk front brakes, HEI, AFB carb, '98 Honda Black Currant paint. T-boned and totaled 10/12 '52 GMC 152 Stake Bed, Original 228, SM420, added A/C, HEI, disk front brakes, '67 Chev 3.55 rear gear. Gets used as a real truck.
