I have a 216 with 3 spd and get around 12-14mph city/highway combined
Yes, T5 is a manual 5 speed (5th is OD) used in a bunch of makes/ models in the 80s and 90s. The most popular version for our trucks is the S10 tranny as it locates the shifter in such a way to be compatible with a bench seat. But many variants can be used and there are several different ways to do the swap.
