If you're running stock drum brakes and have interference with your rims and steering arms, then your rims are not correct. Your truck would have had 4.5" wide 16" rims from the factory. If your rims are significantly wider than that, it would be where your problem lies. You should use rims with different offset to move them outward (and ditch the spacers, which are never a good idea from a safety standpoint.)
