FWIW, the 47-51 Truck Service Manual says 0.018" point gap for readjusting old points and 0.022" for new points. There's no dwell spec. Also FWIW, 1951 GMC Maintenance Manual specifies 31-37 degree dwell with a .022" point opening. This is with a Delco 1112360 distributor that I think was also used on some Chevy trucks of that era.
