i'd drill the holes slightly oversize and tap them. then cut some rod and thread the ends and screw em in. i recently turned on my drillpress only to have all kinds of grass flying out of the belts, opened the cover and found a big mouse nest in the pulleys! must have been like bad carnival ride to the mice.

Just because you have a few Craftsman tools, it dosen't mean your a craftsman.
