Atomarc hit the nail on the head. The only thing I would add is to disasseble the jack and lubricate all of the moving parts. Also, make sure the coupler works like it should and has no cracks in it.

Never hold your farts in. They travel up your spine and into your brain...that is where crappy ideas come from.
