I received this truck with a “rebuilt chassis” but missing the two external lock bolts that retain the diff pinion bearings? I was able to steal the two tapered lock bolts from my ‘39 chassis. However, how do I know that the bearings have not shifted? What kind of torque or feel am I looking for? When received after sitting for fifty years, the rear wheels skidded as if the diff was locked up. “Diff has been rebuilt”. Five squirts of Kroil in each differential lock bolt hole freed the diff. Can I trust this thing? I pulled the diff cover and it looks very nice. Thank you for any advice.
