For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,871 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,871 | If you decide to stay with the lowrider look, a few modifications to the rear end housing and the spring mounting plates and U bolts will give you a couple more inches of suspension travel. Then suitable length shock absorbers and mounting hardware for them can be fabricated. However, nothing "bolt-on" is going to work. It will all need to be custom fabricated. Where in "Tennessee" are you located? I'm about 70 miles south of Nashville near I-65. I'd be happy to help you design something that actually works, and won't make you a rolling hazard to everyone else who shares the road with you. Send me a private message if you're interested. Jerry
