There is a Tech Tip titled “Hood Prop” here in the SB that shows detailed instructions on making the ones referenced above. My effort in making that particular one was abandoned after deciding I didn't want to go through the installation hassle. A simpler use of custom fit wooden props was used instead. They work fine, but require careful placement. I am not convinced I like that option either. I’ll try to remember to get some photos when I get back to the shop in the coming days, if anyone is interested.
