You can rent tranny jacks at tool rental places, but it might be cheaper to buy it. I don't think autozone has them in their tool rental fleet, but they might... Possibly you could buy it at HF, use it over the weekend, and return it on tuesday for a refund or store credit...
Personally, I'm with 48 big trucks- Once you've got the transmission inspection cover out of the floor it might be easier to use the cherry picker or some rope and a 2x4 on the floor of the truck and then use your floor jack from underneath to maneuver the tranny the last little bit.
Those SM420's ain't light to be bench pressing!
