The radiator support mounts to the crossmember using cushions, plates, shims and a couple of bolts. No spring. The first image is from the 37 GMC parts book; the second image show the order they go on. The last image is the 57 chevy book. It shows the 53-57 Corvette used the same cushions and plates as your 36. This is the complete kit.
