My '57 GMC is long gone so I can't measure, but 5x7 may be too big for the speaker enclosure on 55.2-59 Chevy/GMC truck. The speaker mounted inside a box that mounted to the cab above the windshield between the sun visors. Here is Classic Parts chrome version of the speaker box. They say that the part is 8.25x7.25x5.25, but I don't remember it being that big and the picture of the cover doesn't look like a 8.25 by 7.25 ratio of width vs. height.
