On the Maintenance Manuals, yes they are different to an extent between US and Canadian built. Here's a couple of links to some "Canadian GMC" manuals that you may have an interest in. 1948-51 GM of Canada Chevrolet and GMC Manual - Very pricey, but these are far and few between so maybe of value to you? 1948-50 Chevrolet and GMC Truck Supplement to the 1947 GM of Canada Maintenance Manual - Decent price, but not sure if the supplement contains everything you may want or need for your truck? Hope this provides a little more info for you.
