Many parts stores have touch-up paint selections, but 1955 is way too old for them to carry it.
Your local PPG paint dealer (auto, not general use) could mix up a spray can for you. Would probably cost around $30-40 for a can. Or they might be able to do the same in a small brush-on bottle. You'd have to check with them.
According to
paintref.com Commercial Red paint codes equivalences are GM WA5127 and Chrysler DT3043 (used thru 1983) or Martin Senour (NAPA) 109. Those codes may be more available than the old PPG codes. Many paint shops will give you the blank stare if you give them the old Ditzler/PPG or Dupont codes.
