Rick, From looking in a 1942-47 Shop Manual and 1929-46 Master Parts book, there are no springs used in the engine mount for your '46. Nor where there springs used in the later AD series engine mounts. This recent thread from John In Utah discusses the conversion of the later 1960-62 235/261 engine front mount plate. I believe it address the hardware needs too.
