A home built motorcycle trailer I bought a few years ago had a very rough ride- - - -almost shook the tiedown straps loose on my Harley the first trip I made with it. Then I discovered that the builder had bolted BOTH ends of the springs solid to the frame! A set of shackles and some small shock absorbers made a huge difference in the ride.
