The main purpose of this posting is to provide "text searching" for the words Pfaff's Auto Glass.
Several years ago, I recommended this North Carolina business, in this forum, for people searching for glass work on Stovebolts. Pfaff's has been in business since 1919, but sadly they are phasing out doing work on antique and classic automobiles. The reason is that the older experienced workers have retired, and the new generation is not interested in learning how to do the "old stuff". I found this out when I took my 1954 vent windows to them to replace the glass. Pfaff's still does excellent work and has a thriving business.
In talking with one of the older guys, now in customer service, I learned that their vent window removal tool had broken and can't be repaired. Probably metal fatigue of the cast iron from pulling thousands of vent windows. I found a picture of what I think they used. The guy explained that it is too much labor to remove the entire vent window assembly and that they used the tool to remove the glass, without bending the frame, while still in the car or truck. Yes, there are videos on the Internet, that show how to replace the vent glass, with the assembly removed from the door but this is for restoration work.
