I can see a little distortion in your picture. You should be able to get that back where it needs to be. You might consider taking the wiper post out and push the whole area up a bit. See the atttached pic.
Also, is that strut just beyond the post supposed to be kinked up like that? Maybe the panel (firewall) forward of the windshield has been pushed back, buckling that strut and changing the angle of the spot where the wiper post installs.
I tried taking the post out and getting a pry bar in there, but it was not working well. Put it back in and put a ratchet strap on it and up to a beam and that got it lined up with the cowl. Tried to put the wiper back on and found the post does not poke out far enough. Now I need to get ahold of the post and pull it straight out about an 1/8 inch.
