My experience with PPG Acrylic Urethane (AU) is some touch-up and blending on my 1978 fiberglass Chevrolet. It is known as a "self gloss" finish and that is true. With the light color of my project (Corvette Light Blue) and with the light shade of your '65, the gloss is not as apparent as it would be with dark colors. Can your painter shoot a trial/test panel prior to shooting the truck, that way you can decide first hand if the gloss is ok for you.
