I don’t see a deflector ,the washer/or retainer as it is called goes in first then the bearing it will stop as the axle tube has a ridge we’re it stops .Once the bearing is in the seal goes in . I am going out to see if I can get a better look / picture of the rear axle I have that has the leather seal and bearing still in place.You will need the retainer washer as it goes in first before the bearing .Off to take some more pictures .Do you have a picture of the deflector .
